EyeFly3D started inside Nanoveu — an Australian-Singaporean technology company that has been building advanced thin-film and nano-optics for over a decade. The original brief was simple to write and ferociously hard to engineer: take stereoscopic 3D out of the headset, off the cinema wall, and put it on the device that's already in everyone's pocket.

The first generation launched in 2013, designed and built end-to-end in Singapore — both the optical film and the iOS app. Across 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, it earned twelve international awards in engineering and design, plus coverage in the technology press. That generation proved the concept. It also taught us what to refine.

In 2024, the optical stack was redeveloped from first principles. The result is the current generation: an 8-layer film with a refined micro-grating geometry that delivers sharper depth and reduced ghosting versus the original. The redesigned structure is patent-protected.

The original Singapore work taught us the optics. The redesign let us scale them. Today's EyeFly3D ships worldwide, made for every major recent iPhone.
